About

I always try to find something better,

something more real, something more true.

Sometimes the opposite of your intention works better.

I was involved in painting and later on graphic design for ads and commercials. I believe that when we don’t see things in their full details that their impact is stronger; their impressions last longer. It also gives the audience an opportunity to use their imagination: by just hearing the sound they can see the images in their creative mind without actually seeing them on the screen.

This is actually an invitation for the spectators to participate in the creation of a work. Cinema should be able to provide this kind of a freedom both for artist and the audience. Sometimes you need those empty spaces to make your audience more receptive and sensitive.

When you write a script I think you have a tendency to be a bit didactic, but in shooting your brain works in a different way. You see something, and maybe you feel there is something wrong. If you feel that, you have to find something.
